Welcome to our home in the wonderful neighborhood of Schnitzelburg. This charming updated 2 bedroom 2 bath home is just minutes from Downtown, U of L, the Highlands, and the Airport. Germantown/Schnitzelburg is not only centrally located but also perhaps the most sustainable in Louisville. Walk (or bike) to numerous restaurants, bars, grocery store all close by. Relax on the porch or stroll Emerson park gardens and truly soak in the sense of community this historic and unique town has to offer.

Our home features the original hardwood flooring, transom windows, raised ceilings/doorways with most of the original trim-work. We’ve added on the master spa bathroom featuring heated floors and towel rack and large modern glass enclosed shower. All super high end.

The master bedroom is spacious with plenty of drawer and closet space to make yourself at home. Luxury linens and comfy bedding too.

And in the second bedroom - a surprise queen Murphy bed that folds away to transform the space into a yoga retreat or bonus work space as needed.

An added bonus for guests is in the kitchen - we have lots of gadgets and several coffee/tea making devices to suit your preference. We even provide a Nespresso for you so feel free to indulge.

One of the best features is the location just in front of Emerson Park (and Community Garden). This was the site of a former school house transformed into a community space. We have since given up our plot in the garden but feel free to wander about or sit and enjoy the green space. Many of our neighbors have plots there and it truly brings to life the meaning of community gardening.
